My husband requested a sushi cake this year, so I tried my hand at making one. It was a lot easier than I expected, and I was pretty happy with how my sushi rice turned out.

Decorations on top: salmon, Japanese amberjack, cod roe, cucumber, and sliced tamagoyaki
